Hello! I am Graeme Barrett owner of Temevale Alpacas located near Tenbury Wells ( to quote Queen Victoria…”the town in the orchard“) in Worcestershire.
In search of the ‘good life’ and a rewarding semi retirement activity I was ‘grabbed by the alpacas’ in 2010. I bought eight breeding females to form my foundation herd which I registered as Temevale Alpacas.
I now have an established herd of 45 breeding Alpacas. Focussing on animal sales, I am striving to ensure value and quality in terms of conformation, fleece quality, temperament and post sale client support. Temevale Alpacas is also now very firmly established as the only breeder in the UK Midlands offering an Alpaca trekking experience throughout the calendar year. Not only a fantastic day out enjoyed immensely by people of all ages, it provides a unique opportunity for people who wouldn't otherwise have the chance to familiarise themselves with and truly become 'grabbed by the alpacas'.
I am very keen to take every opportunity to support growth and awareness of the Alpaca industry in the UK. I am currently serving as a Director of The British Alpaca Society and Secretary of the West Shires Alpaca Group.
I like to offer all potential clients the opportunity to become ‘grabbed by the alpacas’ by way of easy, non pressurised introduction to this adorable animal, this being the essence of the 'grabbed by the alpacas' brand. Likewise, I offer a comprehensive post sales support service and take pride in developing a long standing relationship with all clients.
